Hello to all members, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

Today's Question: No question today.

If anyone has any questions of their own about the community, or suggestions for tags, questions to be asked on the check-in posts, or if anyone is interested in playing check-in host for a week here on the community, which would entail putting up the daily check-in posts and responding to comments, go to the Questions & Suggestions post and leave a comment.

I now declare this Check-In OPEN!

Even with less stitches and no cable needle, you're still racing up this sweater!

Clearly the chickens were just pret-hen-ding to only be two of them.

Pret-hen-ding? *dies*

I've cut out the page bases for the baby book and made the inner binding... thingie. Now I only have to glue together the page bases, and then the real fun can begin: embellishments, pockets folding cards and the likes!

That's nothing short of epic!

That sounds really lovely!

I've sewn the shoulders and pinned the neckline for the newest woolen gowne, and I'm slowly making headway on that. I feel a bit bad that I haven't finished off the light blue thick wool surcote. It's so close to being finished and I shouldn't be so slack.

I untaped my dislocated finger on Friday to see how it did with a bit of knitting, and it worked well enough that I was able to complete four more (very long) rows on my current project, a large shawl that is nearly finished, while watching the Olympics last night. I'm hoping for a bit more tonight!

That's so fast! Go you!

And yes, those chickens are indeed sneaky.

That baby book sounds like it's going to be lovely!

That sounds very complicated, so kudos to you! You can do it!

Sorry about your busted finger. Hope it feels better soon!

Good luck with your shawl. :)

Between K-dramas the last couple of days and D&D tonight, I finished the yoke and one sleeve of the toddler sweater I'm making and I'm about a quarter of the way through the second sleeve. It's just a plain knitted raglan sweater, so nothing fancy, and when I don't have a toddler crawling on me, I can go pretty fast, but doing the sleeves on double-pointed needles is kind of slowing me down.

Good to hear your finger allowed some knitting! I've managed very little Olympic watching this time, just highlights really.

Ah but the Toddler Life is the best in the world. They're so interested in everything.

I've only ever made a sweater top-down before. /shrug

I'm very much a beginner at knitting, so there is that.

Thank you! I hope to get it done soon.

Mostly she just likes it when I cuddle her, so I have learned to sort of knit with her on my lap.
