When I picked up crochet again a few years ago I actually thought it would be a one-time thing. I had a tiny bit of yarn and a crochet hook that had been lying around for years (they were part of some craft-a-thing box or whatever), and I thought I might as well spend an evening seeing if I could remember how it worked. It turned out that not only I still enjoyed it after about 20 years of not touching yarn, but also that not having a child's hands made everything much easier to handle :D
