Sounds like a good idea, they might be intrigued by what you want to try to do.
The pea gravel would be good for cobblestone paths in terraria, or for a little cairn, that would be quite cool. Not really bridge building material, but there are plenty of other decorative uses for in. A miniature rockery perhaps...
