Hello to all members, passers-by, curious onlookers, and shy lurkers, and welcome to our regular daily check-in post. Just leave a comment below to let us know how your current projects are progressing, or even if they're not.

Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

There may also occasionally be questions, but again you don't have to answer them, they're just a way of getting to know each other a bit better.

I have almost finished the cross stitch on this piece, just one more colour of the purple spiky bit, and then all that will be left is the backstitch. Although I do like all the designs in the set, this one is my least favourite because the flowers are so ordinary. The first one in the set was a lily, and the last two are... not sure of the third one but the last is a hibiscus, much more dramatic.

Had to do the grocery shopping today... well, the first part of it anyway. And then I had choir practice. The rest of the day just went by between the two obligations, so no crafting was done - as expected.

Busy days don't leave much time for such things as crafting, sadly.

I'm working on a star-shaped crochet pillow. Got the body and one point done for the front of it (it uses two identical pieces). It's for a Nerdopolis challenge on "Tide Pools" - starfish are found in tide pools. I am making it a royal blue to match my room and hey, some starfish are indeed blue.

Also poking at the blankets every now and then. Did two rows on Nordic Stripes yesterday.

I have other projects in the work for Nerdopolis as well, but I don't know if I'll finish them all. Blankets must take priority! But today I felt like doing the starfish because it's easy and I wasn't in the mood for anything more difficult.

I did two rows on my striped shawl the other day & I'm hoping to do another row or two tonight. Yay!

The starfish cushion sounds fun! I'm a fan of starfish in general, they're fearsome hunters, but not very fast *grins*
