Checking in is NOT compulsory, check in as often or as seldom as you want, this community isn't about pressure it's about encouragement, motivation, and support. Crafting is meant to be fun, and what's more fun than sharing achievements and seeing the wonderful things everyone else is creating?

Now that the meece-making has concluded, today I made...

2 meeces.

Don't look at me like that, this is entirely smallhobbit's fault, she's the one who put the thought into my head!

The current prompt at one of the challenge communities I belong to, fan_flashworks, is Black and White. The great thing about this community is that it's not simply for writers, As long as your creation fits the current challenge, anything goes — graphics of all kinds, knitting, crochet, jewellery making, baking... You make it, the mods will accept it.

So, I have knitted two black and white meece for the challenge, and the idea is to take photos of them and see if I can create some very basic icons... That's going to be the hard part, I'm not an icon maker, but we shall see.

Beehives

I made two of them today, for the quiet-books-to-be. Simple, easy, flat felt beehives. That was about the amount of concentration I could bring up today. But better than nothing.

I have been trying to stash bust by just crocheting endless amounts of granny squares till I have enough to turn into an afghan, at which point I'll join them together. I used up a whole ball of pretty variegated yarn with enough for an afghan, but the black yarn I wanted to use to join the squares was the wrong size so...I need to buy some black yarn that's the right size. In the meantime I just found some other balls of yarn to turn into more squares that will fit with the black yarn I already have, because why not?
